                                                     Prewires

Audio Connection offers prewiring services. Our prewires typically consist of running Category-5 (Cat-5) phone and data wire, RG-6 coaxial cable, and 16/4 speaker wire.

The Cat-5 is ultra high bandwidth four twisted pair wiring. This wiring is perfect for modern phone systems and home networking. It is fully compliant for standard telephone service - including analog and digital key systems (these are typically used in businesses but have been making their way into homes over the last several years), DSL modems, 10 and/or 100 Base-T networks. We also use the Cat-5 wiring for communication between remote keypad locations and the distributed audio/video equipment.

The RG-6 coaxial cable is quad-shielded. This helps protect the digital signals as they are traveling through the house. This wire is used for satellite systems, cable TV systems, cable modems, local broadcast stations, as well as HDTV signals.

The 16/4 speaker wire is four pair 16 gauge stranded wire. It is used to send amplified audio signals from the source equipment to the speakers. Depending on the situation this wire may first run to a volume control to allow independent volume levels in different rooms.

The wiring is typically run to a wiring closet or panel. This makes the distribution of the various signals neat and easy to configure.

                                       Home Theater Rooms

Audio Connection custom designs and installs Home Theater Rooms.
When you purchase an Audio Connection system you can count on a system       that blends in with the aesthetics of your room and provides a viewing                        experience that rivals commercial movie theaters.

A theater room usually consists of a projector system on a 100-inch or larger screen. Plasma and LCD TVs can be used as well. The projector is teamed with an audio/video receiver which processes and amplifies the surround sound information from all of your various sources. These sources can include a Blu-Ray DVD player, Satellite Receiver, Cox cable / verizon Fios, etc. The system can be controlled with a remote that is custom programmed for your system. These remote controls make the system very easy to use by utilizing one touch operation

                                              Family Rooms

Today manufacturers are making TV screens larger and larger. They come in  a variety of different types.
These TVs look fantastic when paired with some                                 of our Audio/Video Furniture.

Family room systems can have all of the advantages of a dedicated theater room but with the convenience of the system being in a higher traffic area of                                                    the house.

                                                 Built Ins

A "built in" is typically a Plasma, LCD or projection TV built into a wall or wall
unit with only the screen visible. These TVs can look similar to a picture
hanging on a wall when correctly trimmed.

                                            Distributed Audio

Distributed audio systems can be as simple as two or more rooms with
speakers that play the same thing at the same volume. Or, they can be as
elaborate as multi-zone systems where any room in the house can
independently play and control any available source at any volume.

The systems can be controlled from in-wall keypads and/or in-wall      touchpanels capable of displaying full motion video. Also, each room will  usually have its own volume control to adjust the volume level or to turn the                                           sound completely off.

                                            Home Networking

Audio Connection can install all of the parts needed for your home network.
A network provides the ability to share an Internet connection among all of your computers, as well as, share files, printers, music, even streaming video.

With a home network you won't have to save a file to a floppy disk and walk
to another area of the house just to print a document. You also don't need
multiple phone lines or multiple IP addresses from your Internet Service
Provider. We use the highest quality Category 5 twisted pair cable, AMP®
Cat-5e jacks, and hubs, routers, switches, etc from Netgear and Linksys.
